About the studio

A barn, a kiln, and forty years of practice.

Amy works out of a converted barn in central Texas, where the back wall is lined with shelves of art glass — sheet, frit, stringers — sorted roughly by colour and impulse.

Most pieces take two or three firings. The kiln runs for about fourteen hours and comes down overnight; she opens it slowly the next morning, never sure exactly what the colours will have done.

New work appears in batches; commissions are open year-round. Tell her what you're imagining →
